How much spending money should i take with me to venice?

I was in venice before.Italy is very expensive for tourists.I paid €10 for an umbrella and €10 for a disposable camera when i was there.Cigarettes and Alcohol are cheap though.I went with €600 euro for a week and had €20 when i was leaving.Most of that money was spent on food and drink.Bring €100 more than you think you will need and save it for essentials.I would bring €800 if i was going again.Venice is a very nice city, enjoy your time while you're there.
