Can someone please critique my paragraph?

One out of ten students pes to the after life. It is depressing that the community surrounds the school. Each day I face challenges of surviving from a bullet. How I wish I could feel safe crossing the streets. Which is impossible, the misconduct of the neighborhood is out of control. Where does the violence come from? The violence comes from either bad parenting or misguidance from peers. If there were a way to alleviate a child to follow the correct path, many would have made prudent decisions that would not have affected there future. I would have taken that opportunity not only to help myself but others too. Unfortunately, everyone in the community only care about himself or herself. On the other hand, I am not like everyone else in the community. I have the ability to create peace, motivate others, and offer guidance. In my neighborhood, neighbors come to me for advice I do not have the heart to turn my back to someone in need of help.
