Could my boyfriend have ?

about two weeks ago I found out I had baterial vaginosis and about 2 days later my boyfriend broke out on his private area he went to the doctor and they tested him for bacteria and . The bacteria came back positive for sure but the came back inconclusive he had a swab test done. What does inconclusive usually mean...positive or negative. We are both going to get our blood drawn and I have had no synptoms. I really just wanna know what an inconclusive test usually means????
